Weekend Weathervanes: The Flying Witch

Weekend Weathervanes

Now I know what to do with those photos – “thanks” to Heather Wilkinson Rojo at Nutfield Genealogy; she blogs Weekly Wednesday Weathervanes  in New Hampshire.  Please check out her page and enjoy the many unusual weathervane photos and be entertained with a history lesson. It’s amazing at what you can encounter in your travels – You Just Need To Look Up!

We were… somewhere on a Connecticut backroad… I’m thinking up toward the Essex area… but I’ve forgotten now. That’s what happens when you don’t write things down! Hubby first spotted her and turned around for me to take a photo. This is my second witch found, the other one is on top of The Witch Hazel Co. in Essex, CT.

The Flying Witch

I always wonder why people pick specific weathervanes… maybe someone here loves Halloween!

Weathervanes on cupolos really stand out!

The Witch fits perfectly on top of this barn!
