Now I know what to do with those photos – “thanks” to Heather Wilkinson Rojo at Nutfield Genealogy; she blogs Weekly Wednesday Weathervanes in New Hampshire. Please check out her page and enjoy the many unusual weathervane photos and often be entertained with a history lesson. It’s amazing at what you can encounter in your travels – You Just Need To Look Up!
Weekend Weathervanes
Choo Choo – All Aboard!
Located on RT. 1 in Saybrook, Ct. on top of the Saybrook Junction Plaza
The Choo Choo Train weathervane sits high above… almost in the clouds of the Old Saybrook Junction Plaza. I love how they chose a train to compliment the name!
The plaza sits alongside the train station on Rt. 1 in Old Saybrook.

Interesting. Maybe the name comes from there being a train through there at one time?
