December 7, 1941

Pearl Harbor was attacked without warning by the Japanese Navy on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941. That attack claimed more than 2,400 American lives and within 90 minutes, sank four battleships, two destroyers and damaged many aircraft, buildings and ships.

In visiting the West Haven Military Museum in November (2015), I discovered a frame on the wall as I was leaving. As I read and looked at all the names of the boys, I was excited to  discover that this piece of history had been saved and preserved here in the museum.

I posted most of the photos that day on my Facebook page, but I held these photos for this blog post today – December 7th – to honor these boys who joined to fight in WWII.
